AD8605 Operational Amplifiers: Datasheet, Pinout, Circuit [FAQ]

  • Contents

Product Overview

ADI features their AD8605 (single), AD8606 (dual), and AD8608 (quad) rail-to-rail input and output (RRIO) operational amplifiers. These op amps use DigiTrim® technology for precision trimming. The AD8605, AD8606, and AD8608 have low offset voltage (80 mA), low input voltage (2.7 V to 5.5 V), current noise (8 nV/√Hz), and wide bandwidth 10 MHz. They come in a variety of packages including SOT-23, WLCSPTSSOP, and MSOP, and they have a wide operational temperature range from -40°C to +125°C. The AD8605, AD8606, and AD8608 are perfect for handheld, battery, and audio applications.

This blog will introduce AD8605 systematically from its features, pinout to its specifications, applications, also including AD8605 datasheet and so much more.

AD8605 Circuit Diagram

The low offset voltage and input current of the AD8605 make it an excellent choice for photodiode applications. In addition, the low voltage and current noise make the amplifier ideal for application circuits with high sensitivity.

For the circuit shown in the following figure, the output error voltage is approximately 100 µV at room temperature, increasing to about 1 mV at 85°C.

AD8605 FAQ

What is the RRIO?

Rail-to-rail input and output.

What technology does ADI use for precision trimming?

DigiTrim® technology.

What is the wide bandwidth of the AD8605?

10 MHz.

What does rail to rail mean in op amp?

“Rail-to-rail” implies that the signal swings all the way to supply voltage levels on both the positive and negative rails. If an op amp can drive RRO, it means you have a good dynamic range in which to work on the signal. A related term, head room, is a measure of how close the signal comes to the rails.

How do operational amplifiers work?

An operational amplifier is an integrated circuit that can amplify weak electric signals. An operational amplifier has two input pins and one output pin. Its basic role is to amplify and output the voltage difference between the two input pins.
