Manufacturer

Allegro MicroSystems is an experienced semiconductor company with products sold throughout North America, South America, Europe, Japan and the Asia Pacific region. Allegro MicroSystems has a wide range of businesses, producing both Hall effect sensor ics and power ics for motor drives, motor control and switch regulation. Allegro MicroSystems provides high quality services for office automation, industrial, automotive and portable electronics.

Advantages

The chopping control in the A3984 automatically selects the current decay mode (Slow or Mixed).  This current decay control scheme results in reduced audible motor noise, increased step accuracy, and reduced power dissipation. In addition, the A3984SLPTR-T provides a synchronous rectification control circuit internally to improve power consumption during PWM operation.
