What are Board Mount Power Supplies?
Devices that can be installed or incorporated on ordinary PCB boards or computer boards are known as board mount power supply. Board mount power supply (BMPS) and distributed power architecture are two more names for them (DPA). On-board DC/DC converters and DC/DC regulators are what they are. Despite having all the components of a typical power supply in a much smaller form factor, they are not IC power supplies because they are not chips.
What is the difference between a switching power supply and a power supply board?
The biggest difference is that the power supply board is just a circuit board, there is no shell package; there are many kinds of switching power supply, there are bare board power supply board, waterproof power supply with shell and so on, there is a difference in appearance.
Power supply board in principle is to provide power to the load; switching power supply is the output constant voltage and constant current, through the switch to achieve voltage conversion power supply system. At the same time is a very efficient power supply, the output power is very large.
