Connecting TB6600 with a MCU/MPU

It is simple to connect the TB6600 motor driver module to a stepper motor and a microcontroller. All you would require is a 9-40V power supply unit and a few jumper wires.

The high voltage and the signal are the two parts of the motor driver, as seen in the illustration. The stepper motor and power supply are wired for the high voltage portion, while the module is connected to the MCU or MPU for the signal portion. The MCU/5V MPU's supply is attached to the shorted and connected PUL(+5V), DIR(+5V), and (ENA+5V) pins. The ENA- pin must be left floating while the DIR- and PUL- pins must be linked to the MCU/digital MPU's pins. Once you have identified the stepper's associated coil wires, you can attach it to Ports A and B. Finally, connect the motor driver's GND and VCC pins to a power supply unit.

TB6600 Applications

  • Used for positioning stepper motors
  • Used in CNC machines
  • Used in 3D printers
  • Used in antennas

TB6600 FAQ

What is TB6600?

A professional stepper motor driver that is simple to use and capable of controlling a two-phase stepping motor is the TB6600 Arduino. It can emit a 5V digital pulse signal, therefore it works with Arduino and other microcontrollers that can. The 9–42VDC power supply of the TB6600 Arduino stepper motor driver allows for a wide range of power input.

What does NEMA 23 mean?

Stepper motor NEMA 23 has a faceplate measuring 2.3 by 2.3 inches (58.4 by 58.5 mm) with a 1.8 degree step angle (200 steps per revolution). With 2.8 A at 3.2 V for each phase, a holding torque of 19 kg-cm is possible. Hard drives, printers, CNC machines, and linear actuators all commonly employ NEMA 23 stepper motors.

what can TB6600 be used for?

An easy-to-use professional stepper motor driver that can manage a two-phase stepping motor is the TB6600 Arduino. It can output a 5V digital pulse signal, making it compatible with Arduino and other microcontrollers.
