PIC16F886-I/SO Product Overview

The PIC16F886-I/SO is an 8-bit flash-based CMOS Microcontroller. It has a synchronous serial port that can be set up as either a 3-wire serial peripheral interface (SPI™) or a 2-wire inter-integrated circuit (I²C™) bus, 256 bytes of EEPROM data memory, self-programming, an ICD, two comparators, 11 channels of 10-bit Analogue-to-Digital (A/D) converter, one capture/compare/PWM function, and one enhanced capture/compare/PWM function. An analog input signal can be converted to a 10-bit binary representation using an analog-to-digital converter (ADC). This gadget makes use of multiplexed analog inputs that are sampled and held in a single circuit. The converter's input is joined to the sample and hold device's output. The ADC result registers (ADRESL and ADRESH) are where the converter saves the converted data after producing a 10-bit binary result via successive approximation.
